Endless theories about who Pyramid Head is... all of which are backed up with evidence and logic. Max's theory actually validates many theories that came before. How does that make sense? Watch on and find out!
The Most Profound Moment in Gaming History
Ever since I first watched his video when I was 16, the words spoken in this Metal Gear Solid codec call have haunted me to this very day, as they should for all of you.
Inside - Story Explanation and Analysis
Here are some of Max's thoughts on what was happening throughout the course of this great game. If you have any dissent or extra thoughts to offer along with his analysis, please reach out.
Little Nightmares - Story Explanation and Analysis
These are just some of Max's thoughts during gameplay. Feel free to reach out if you have anything to add to the discussion
Max recognizes that he's wrong about the Red Book actually being Jung's Red Book. HOWEVER, he thinks everything else about his theory holds up.
If that isn't Jung's Red Book, Jung's theories nonetheless fit the movie well. Plus, the evidence that Kubrick was influenced by Jung and psychoanalysis seem quite clear.
Fans of The Shining (or any of Stanley Kubrick's movies) understand the importance the director placed on minor details. As somebody who is a massive fan of the movie, Max was certain that he studied and memorized every small detail in this film and what it's potential meaning was. He was shocked when one of his viewers pointed out the red book on Stuart Ullman's desk. Why, you may ask? Well, if you understand what this red book is all about, you might be able to explain - as Max attempts to do here - the horrors of the Shining.
If you answer "YES" to any of the following:
Officially diagnosed with ASD - OR -
Suspect you are on the spectrum - OR -
Know someone diagnosed - OR -
Know someone who suspects they are on the spectrum,
this series is for you and will help raise awareness and support in the community.
Part 1 The Truth About Asperger's - Eye Contact
Living on the spectrum is difficult, and Max doesn't think people can appreciate what it IS truly like to live with these difficulties.
This is the first part of a series of videos where Max discusses the various symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome (high-functioning autism) and provides examples from his own life about what it's like to live with AS.
AION - Jordan Peterson's Nightmare
Carl Jung has been a major influence on Jordan Peterson and because Mr. Peterson is such a big public figure at the moment, Max thought it would be worthwhile examining one of the books that has influenced him the most: Aion.
In a lecture Peterson gave back in 2014, he said that if you read Aion, you would have nightmares for the rest of your life. Naturally, this intrigued Max and through his research, Max developed this series in order to examine why Peterson said that.
Max and his team read comments, messages and emails regularly with respect to the Autism videos. The comments tend to focus on the struggles you have with mental illness, and often the helplessness you feel leading to depression and anxiety. We hear you. We understand, truly care AND we wish we could do so much more!
For now, Max wants to do something that might help address these problems in an encouraging, positive, concrete and creative way..... using MINECRAFT.
Why We Need MORE Video Game Remakes and Remasters
There have been certain things going on in Max’s life, as well as in the world of gaming led him to conclude that we need MORE video game remakes and remasters. Some might disagree, thinking that if it forsakes new IPs, that we shouldn't have any more remakes/remasters than we already have. Max thinks it's possible AND necessary to have a market for remakes AND new IPs. Listen on.

"Why I Never Talked About The Last of Us Part 2"
The Last of Us Part 2 has officially been out for more than a year. Max originally announced that he was going to do a video on the game, but hasn't until now.
He explains why he initially decided against making a video, and why he has since changed his mind.
Well, Max finally did it. After more than 3 years of frequent recommendations, Max finally had the opportunity to play; specifically Persona 4 and 5.
He has MANY thoughts to share; so many in fact that he will need to do a series of videos that will likely span the next couple of years because there's a lot to delve into.

Max recently finished playing Final Fantasy for the first time, beginning with FFX, and he looks forward to the series’ other instalments. FF6, 7, 8, and 9 are among those highly recommended by fans.
If they have the same amount of underlying religious and psychological symbolism, then we are certain you are in for some serious treats in the near future. Max had so much fun investigating and reviewing FFX and hopes that you enjoyed some of the secrets he might've uncovered about the game’s influences.
The Most Profound Moment in the History of Animated Film
Next time somebody says that animated films and TV shows are lesser than live-action or that they aren't "high-art", show them this video.
SENSE - A METAL GEAR SOLID 4 RETROSPECTIVE
Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear Solid, has said that there is a single word... a single theme that can summarize each mainline game in the Metal Gear Solid saga. With that, Max decided to look at each game in the series exclusively through the lens of their respective theme. The latest will find us looking at the single word/theme that summarizes Metal Gear Solid 4. That word is "sense".

Mulholland Drive - Story Explanation and Analysis
Max has wanted to talk about this movie since 2017. Thankfully, he finally found his angle. Hopefully, when he eventually gets around to talking about stuff like Twin Peaks, he'll be able to do the same thing. If he missed anything, please let him know!
if it were available?
Max is regularly asked this but has never given a public answer until now. Short answer is "no, he wouldn't take a cure for autism", but there are certain circumstances that tempts him to change his answer. In fact, there is one hypothetical scenario where he might say yes.
What scenario would that be? Listen on to find out.

Max often talks about his ambitions regarding the entry of games in academia. If any headway can be made in that direction, the educational system along with those who lead the educational systems will require games that are easy, short, and profound. What Remains of Edith Finch is an excellent example of such a game.

Well, RE8 won 60% of the vote. Now it's time to play "Step on Me, Mommy: Simulator".
Max hopes to make these streams a weekly thing if subscribers keep tuning in!
Why Outlast is More Terrifying Than We Thought
Max played the Outlast games a while ago, but for some reason he wasn't motivated to do a video on them until now.
Max admits that he isn't a fan of Outlast's style of gameplay:
Even when it's in games that Max overall really enjoys such as SOMA, and Observer, he still doesn't like THAT style.
For Max, there has to be a story to justify that type of gameplay, and for a while, he didn't see anything in regards to Outlast's story that appealed to him. But then, a patron pointed out something to Max, and his opinion did a 180.
Do you remember the Matrix games? Have you tried playing them recently? Max did, and they weren't as incredible as we might've remembered them to be.
However, there is an incredible moment at the end of The Matrix: Path of Neo... one that many who played the game might not recall. Upon encountering this moment again, Max was reminded of just how incredible the Matrix series is, and his hype for The Matrix: Resurrections has skyrocketed.
Max always had this theory about the collective unconscious and that it could be realized through the net. What didn't occur to him however, was how that might help elevate us to gods. Serial Experiments Lain taught Max how one might do that... and it's brilliant!
